17-Year-Old Naomi Tinasha King Found Safe in Jackson After Being Reported Missing from Brandon, Mississippi

Brandon, Mississippi – Naomi Tinasha King, a 17-year-old resident of Brandon, Mississippi, who was reported missing on August 22, 2024, has been found safe in Jackson. Naomi was last seen leaving her residence on Appleridge Road in Brandon at 4:45 PM on Thursday, August 22. She was wearing a multi-color character hoodie, blue-green shorts, and a bright pink bonnet.

Naomi King, who had been entered as a missing person in both the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), was believed to have possibly traveled to Jackson, Mississippi, or even the Kentucky area. Concerns for her safety had grown as she could have been traveling in an unknown vehicle, potentially with unknown companions.

The Brandon Police Department provided an update at 3:45 PM today, confirming that Naomi had been found safe in Jackson, Mississippi.

The news has been met with an outpouring of relief and support from the community. Numerous people took to Facebook to express their thoughts and prayers for Naomi’s safety.

Naomi Proctor shared, “Please, if anyone has seen or heard from her, please let me or the authorities know. Really worried about her safety, please!!!!!!!!!”

Cassandra Thurman Melvin posted, “Please return safe,” while Nikki Greer expressed, “Shared and praying for a safe return home. Please protect this baby from any weapon formed against her or any harm in Jesus’ NAME!!”

Other community members echoed these sentiments, with comments like “Praying for her and family and praying for her to return safely” from Kim Knight, and “Beautiful girl, please come home! Praying for this young lady,” from Susie Lamatrice.

The community’s prayers were answered when Naomi was found safe, with many expressing gratitude. Melissa McMahon commented, “Praise God she’s back home.”
