Sparta, North Carolina – Allen Ray Baldwin, a beloved resident of Sparta, North Carolina, has passed away at the age of 67. Baldwin died on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at High Point Medical Center in High Point, North Carolina.
Born on October 12, 1956, in Ashe County, North Carolina, Allen was the son of the late Alton Baldwin and Betty Jones Baldwin. Known for his love of simple pleasures, Allen enjoyed farming, fishing, and hunting. His kind and generous nature made him a cherished member of his community, always ready to offer a helping hand to those he held dear.
Allen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patty M. Baldwin, who remains in their home. He also leaves behind two sons, Mark Baldwin of Ashe County, and Ricky Boggs of Dahlgren, Virginia; two daughters, Wendy Cochran of Laurel Springs, and Donna Roach of Maysville, North Carolina; and two grandchildren. His extended family and numerous friends fondly remember him.
A private memorial service to honor Allen’s life will be held at a later date, attended by close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the Baldwin family requests that memorial donations be made to New Home Free Will Baptist Church.
