Austin D. Arovits, 22, Tragically Loses Life in Munhall Motorcycle Accident

Munhall, PA – Austin David Arovits, a 22-year-old resident of Munhall, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on August 24, 2024. The news of Austin’s sudden passing has deeply affected his family, friends, and community.

Austin was known for his vibrant personality and love for life. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and was actively working on restoring his 1979 Camaro, showcasing his dedication and mechanical skills. In addition to his love for vehicles, Austin enjoyed building LEGO sets and had a growing collection of firearms and swords, reflecting his diverse interests.

Austin was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Sarah and Michael Caldwell, and Stephen Arovits, as well as his siblings Victoria, McKenzie, Evan, and Emily. His grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends, including those he worked with at Olive Garden, also mourn his passing.

Austin’s strong faith was a guiding force in his life, known for his kindness and willingness to help others. He was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him.

A visitation to honor Austin’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 28, from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM at the Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, August 29, at 10 AM at the same location.

Many have taken to social media to express their grief and share memories of Austin. Jessica Frank, a close colleague, shared her sorrow, and others echoed her sentiments. Stefanie Sacco Cortes wrote, "I’m so very sorry, Jess! What a tragedy. Such a young life taken far too soon. Prayers to all!" Monique Rochelle commented, "Oh my. He is a baby!!!!! I’m so sorry." Bethany Bedsworth added, "I’m so sorry Jess, this is terrible."

The outpouring of support and condolences from Austin’s friends, coworkers, and community members underscores the impact he had on those around him. Austin Arovits will be remembered for his generous spirit, strong faith, and the joy he brought into the lives of many.
