Beaufort County Continues Search for Missing 60-Year-Old Stanley Thomas Kotowski on Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island, South Carolina – The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is urgently seeking the public’s help in locating 60-year-old Stanley Thomas Kotowski, who has been missing since Friday, August 16. Kotowski, a resident of Hilton Head Island, was last seen around 10:30 A.M. leaving his home on South Sea Pines Drive. He was wearing a grey Coors Light t-shirt, dark navy shorts, and was barefoot at the time of his disappearance.

Despite extensive search efforts involving multiple agencies, K9 units, helicopters, drones, and foot patrols, no new leads have emerged. Law enforcement has been conducting thorough searches in both residential and wooded areas in the southern parts of Beaufort County. Authorities are urging residents to check their security cameras and review footage that might help in locating Kotowski.

The community has shown tremendous support by sharing information and submitting tips, but unfortunately, these have not yet led to Kotowski’s whereabouts. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at their non-emergency dispatch line, 843-524-2777.

On Facebook, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has shared multiple updates about the ongoing search. One post from August 20 reads, "Still searching for Stanley Kotowski. Another picture for reference." The Sheriff’s Office continues to appeal to the public for any information that could assist in the search for Kotowski.

As of today, Thursday, August 22, the search continues, with authorities remaining hopeful for a safe resolution.
