Bethel Resident Charlie Plum Dies After Motorcycle Accident, Memorial Service Announced

Bethel, Maine – Charlie Plum, a well-known resident of Bethel, has passed away following a tragic motorcycle accident. The accident occurred last Saturday in Bethel, and despite being rushed to Maine Medical in Portland, Plum succumbed to his injuries. He was on life support for a week before passing away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 11:55 AM.

Charlie Plum’s death has deeply affected his family, friends, and community members. Paula Plum, his sister, shared the heartbreaking news on her Facebook page, expressing the family’s grief. She wrote, “Tonight we are bereft and heart-broken and in shock. This was his last photo taken in Norway, Maine, before he left me to head home, a half-hour before the accident.”

To honor Charlie’s memory, a wake has been scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Solomine Funeral Home, located at 426 Broadway St, Lynn, MA. Following his wishes, a celebration of life will be held instead of a traditional funeral. This celebration will take place on September 14, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Red Fox Bar and Grille in Jackson, New Hampshire.
