Brian Buskey, Esteemed Loadmaster at 337th Airlift Squadron, Dies Unexpectedly

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Brian Buskey, a dedicated Loadmaster at the 337th Airlift Squadron in the United States Air Force Reserves. Brian passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Brian was known for his unwavering commitment to his duties and his deep passion for photography, which allowed him to capture the beauty of the world around him. His devotion to his family was evident in all he did, especially towards his wife Angel, his young son Brian Jr., and his step-son Kenny.

In the wake of his untimely death, Brian’s family faces the financial burden of this sudden loss. Brian was the primary supporter of his spouse, who is a full-time caregiver for their children. Friends and loved ones are rallying together to support the family during this difficult time.

Jason Hawkins, a friend of Brian, expressed his grief on Facebook, stating, "For those who have received the earth-shattering news, my heart goes out to you. The world lost a remarkable man. Brian Buskey was an outstanding human in every aspect." Hawkins also mentioned the creation of a memorial cuff to honor Brian, inviting those who wish to participate to reach out.

Others shared their condolences on social media. Tyler Smith wrote, “Damn, I just lost a good man a couple days before this too. My heart goes out to him and his families and to you as well brother.” Daniel Meyer fondly remembered his time with Brian, commenting, "He truly was the best… some of my fondest memories are sitting in the living room and watching ‘louder with crowder’. We’d talk endlessly about the stupidest things."

Brian Buskey’s legacy of kindness, passion, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished forever by his family, friends, and colleagues.
