Carl LeMay, Charter Member of Riverview Moose Riders, Passes Away After Long Battle with Illness

Carl LeMay, a beloved charter member of the Riverview Moose Riders, passed away this morning after a prolonged struggle with serious health issues. Carl was known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need, a quality remembered fondly by those who knew him. He had been part of the Riverview Moose Riders since they received their charter in 2007.

Carl battled diabetes, which eventually led to end-stage renal disease. He also suffered from congestive heart failure, enduring his health struggles with resilience and a positive spirit. Despite his passing bringing him peace from pain, it has left his family in a challenging situation.

Carl is survived by his wife, two children, and five grandchildren. His passing has left his family not only with emotional grief but also with financial difficulties. Due to his wife’s health issues, she cannot work, and the family now relies on a limited income to maintain their home of over 25 years. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help support the family during this difficult time, with funds going towards sustaining their household and covering essential expenses.

Friends and family have taken to social media to express their sorrow and pay tribute to Carl. Arthur Maccalla wrote, "We lost a brother today, a man who was always there for anyone in need. We will meet again on the great ride on golden streets. R.I.P. my friend Carl Lemay." Robert Guitarman Waters also shared his feelings, saying, "I’m sorry brother! I’ll holler at you later."

Carl LeMay’s kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met, and his memory will continue to inspire the Riverview Moose Riders and the broader community.
