Centennial, Colorado – The community mourns the sudden passing of Chris Papineau, a beloved husband, father, and respected member of the Centennial area, who tragically lost his life on Sunday, August 25, 2024, after suffering a cardiac event during a routine swim. Despite the immediate efforts of bystanders and paramedics, Chris could not be revived.

Chris Papineau leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Marija, and their four sons: David (23), Marc (20), Isaac (17), and Matthew (14). The fundraiser, titled "Chris Papineau Memorial and Relief Fund," aims to raise $10,000. As of this morning, $270 has been raised from four donations, with contributions coming from community members like Veronica Sparks-Theurer and Carter Burnham.

The fundraiser emphasizes the deep impact Chris had on those around him. Known for his passion for his faith, family, and sense of justice, Chris was described as a man who lived selflessly, always putting others before himself. His devotion to his family, along with his love for activities like fly fishing and exploring the 14ers, left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

The community is urged to support the Papineau family through prayers and donations, as they work to secure a safe and stable future in the wake of this devastating loss. All donations, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping Marija and her sons during this time of need.

Those who wish to contribute to the memorial fund can do so through the fundraiser organized by Dave Papineau in Centennial, Colorado. The family expresses deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received.
