Santa Ana, California – Christina Holmes, a beloved member of the Santa Ana community, passed away early on Saturday, August 24, 2024, after a brave battle with leukemia. She was diagnosed with the illness in May 2024 and immediately began aggressive treatment in hopes of extending her life. Sadly, despite the efforts and a planned transplant that gave her family hope, the chemotherapy proved too much for her to endure.
Christina was deeply loved by those who knew her, and her passing has left many in mourning. In response to her untimely death, a fundraiser has been organized by her sister, Diana Montalvo, to assist her husband, Matthew Holmes, with the significant medical bills and to help arrange a memorial service. As of today, the fundraiser has raised $2,250 out of a $5,000 goal, with donations coming in from friends and well-wishers.
On Facebook, many have expressed their condolences and shared their grief. Joel Lopez posted, "My sister-in-law sadly lost the battle with cancer. Anyone who could donate would be greatly appreciated. One of my great friends is gone. I will miss her. I can’t believe she is gone."
Eric Kartman commented, "Dang brotha sorry for your loss," while Stephanie Saldaña wrote, "I’m so sorry for your loss. Let Diana know I send her a big hug."
Marissa Lopez shared her disbelief, saying, "I still can’t believe it. She was so stubborn I was sure she would beat this thing. My sincerest condolences to you guys and Regal."
The community’s outpouring of support highlights the impact Christina had on those around her. As her family prepares to say their final goodbyes, they remain grateful for the love and generosity shown by everyone during this difficult time.
