Community Rallies in Search for Missing Teen Jacob Moore in Orange County, Florida

Jacob Moore, a 16-year-old from Winter Garden, Florida, has been reported missing since August 21, 2024. His disappearance has prompted a community-wide search effort, with friends and family pleading for assistance on social media.

Jacob was last seen near the West Orange Warehouse, heading towards i-92 on the 429 highway. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing blue jeans, a black tank top, and black runners. His shoes were later found by officers, suggesting he may now be barefoot. Jacob has no money or phone, further heightening concerns for his safety.

Family and friends have taken to Facebook to spread the word. Andrea A. Gonzalez, a close family member, posted, "Please, friends and family, share this information, especially those in the Florida area… Please keep a lookout." The heartfelt appeal is aimed at raising awareness and prompting anyone with information to come forward.

Support and prayers have poured in from the community. Tami Winston Gentry expressed her concern, saying, "Oh my gosh! Sending a million prayers your way to find him soon!!!" Similarly, Trish Chapman Anderson conveyed her sympathy, "Oh Andrea. I am so sorry. I can’t begin to imagine what you are going through. Your family will be in my prayers."

Jacob Moore is described as being 5’11" tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair featuring dark red highlights and brown eyes. He has a pierced nose, pierced ears, and a scar on his left lower arm.

Authorities have labeled Jacob as a runaway, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is actively involved in the search. Anyone with information about Jacob Moore’s whereabouts is urged to contact 911 or the provided hotline number, 520-891-3813. Callers may remain anonymous, and any information will be treated confidentially. The community remains hopeful for Jacob’s safe return.
