Cynthia Emily Lane Crews Remembered Fondly by Family and Friends Following Unexpected Passing in Aylett, Virginia

Aylett, Virginia – Cynthia Emily Lane Crews, affectionately known as Cyndy, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2024. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, and sister, whose loss has deeply affected her family and friends.

Born on November 4, 1982, in Richmond, Virginia, Cyndy was a twin to Jessica Oliff. She was the daughter of Vincent and Mary Ann Oliff. Cyndy is survived by her mother, her daughter Makayla Monge, her grandchildren Victoria and Achilles Monge, her husband Warren Y.D. Crews, and her sisters Virginia Smith, Roxie Foster, Patty Flores, and Jessica Oliff. She was preceded in death by her father Vincent L. Oliff Jr., and her sisters Vanessa F. Oliff and Barbara Murphy.

Cyndy was an active community member, being an associate member of the PVA Mid Atlantic Chapter and participating in the Women’s Council. She was also a member of Sharon Baptist Church in King William, Virginia, where she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Her love for singing brought joy to those around her.

A fundraiser organized by her sister, Jessica Oliff, has been launched to help cover Cyndy’s funeral expenses. So far, $500 has been raised out of a $7,500 goal, with contributions from friends and family showing their support. Jessica Oliff expressed the family’s gratitude for the support received, emphasizing that every donation helps honor Cyndy’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the GoFundMe page set up in her memory, ensuring that Cyndy is remembered and honored by those who loved her.
