Dennis faced numerous challenges throughout his life, overcoming significant adversity from an early age. As an infant, he battled a serious medical condition that threatened his life. At age six, Dennis survived a horrific accident when he was run over by a car, resulting in severe injuries that led to a year-long recovery in a full-body cast.
Despite these hardships, Dennis displayed resilience and a kind, generous spirit. He eventually found fulfillment working as a seasonal light installer, a job that brought him a sense of pride and purpose. Known for his willingness to help others, Dennis was deeply loved by his family and community.
In the wake of his death, a GoFundMe campaign organized by his brother, Paul Mathews, aims to raise $50,000 to cover funeral expenses and give Dennis the dignified farewell he deserves. As of now, the fundraiser has received $370 from three donors.
