Dr. Hamid Mirshojae Fatally Shot Outside Warner Plaza Medical Center in Woodland Hills, California

Woodland Hills, California – Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, a beloved physician known for his dedication to his patients, was tragically shot and killed outside the Warner Plaza Medical Center on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 5:34 p.m. as Dr. Mirshojae, aged 61, was walking to his car. An unidentified assailant approached him and fired multiple shots, resulting in his death.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing Dr. Mirshojae lying on the ground in the parking lot. Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to save him. The assailant fled the area, and as of now, no description of the suspect has been released by the authorities.

Dr. Mirshojae was a well-respected figure in the Woodland Hills community, known not only for his medical expertise but also for his compassionate nature. A family friend, Maryem Alaei, described him as a cheerful and dedicated doctor, always putting his patients first.

Since the tragic event, a memorial has formed outside the clinic, where friends, family, and former patients have gathered to pay their respects. His wife, who is currently in Turkey with their infant child, is making arrangements to return to the United States immediately.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown. On Facebook, Kami Jan shared, “Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, my primary doctor, friend, and soccer player, was shot and killed yesterday. He was kind, funny, and a caring person. His memory will be with us forever. May he rest in peace.”

Soraya Avesta expressed her grief, saying, “All night I was crying for him. Please accept my condolences. May he rest in peace.”

Kat Mahgrefteh, who worked closely with Dr. Mirshojae, posted, “Hundreds of his prescriptions went through my hands as a pharmacist! Very smart caring man and doctor…”

The community continues to mourn the loss of Dr. Mirshojae, remembering him as a compassionate and dedicated medical professional whose untimely death has left a void in the hearts of many.
