E. Darlene Dulaney, Cherished Rock Springs Resident, Passes Away Peacefully at 93

Rock Springs, Wyoming – E. Darlene Dulaney, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Mission at Castle Rock Rehabilitation in Green River. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her daughter as she transitioned from this world.

Born on January 26, 1931, in Winfield, Kansas, Darlene was the daughter of Ford R. Heffron and Fredricka L. Miller. Her early life was shaped by strong values of hard work and dedication, which she carried with her throughout her life.

Darlene was a long-time resident of Rock Springs, where she lived for 62 years after residing in Kansas, Colorado, and Worland. Known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her family and community, she was a pillar of support and a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Her life’s greatest joy was her family, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She was a faithful cheerleader for her grandkids and sons, often seen cheering them on at the pool and soccer fields.

The community has expressed deep sympathy for the Dulaney family during this time of loss. Friends and neighbors have taken to social media to share their condolences and fond memories of Darlene.

Laura Jackson shared, "She was a sweet faithful cheerleader for her grandkids and sons at the pool and the soccer fields. Sending prayers and love to all the Dulaney’s."

Kim Fouts remembered her fondly, saying, "Oh Todd and family, she was an amazing lady. Giving you big hugs and sending our prayers to you all!"

Many others echoed these sentiments, with Kathy Foster extending "Our deepest sympathy to her families," and Denise Marie commenting, "What a wonderful legacy of family and community dedication. She lived a beautiful life."

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs. Family and friends will gather to honor Darlene’s memory and reflect on the profound impact she had on their lives.

E. Darlene Dulaney’s legacy of love, kindness, and community dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
