Eau Claire, WI – The Eau Claire community is in mourning after the unexpected passing of Domonic Yang on August 15, 2024. Domonic, known as "Dom" to his friends and family, was a beloved young man who was set to start classes this fall at Honolulu Community College in Hawaii, where he had been living for the past two years.
Domonic was well-known for his quiet demeanor and athletic talents, excelling in various sports. He was also a witty and jovial person, often bringing smiles to those around him. Domonic had a passion for football and was a dedicated fan of the Seattle Seahawks, fulfilling a dream last year by attending a home game in Seattle.
His sudden passing has left his family and friends in shock. To assist with funeral expenses and other related costs, a GoFundMe fundraiser has been organized by his aunt, Song Xiong, on behalf of Domonic’s parents. As of today, the fundraiser has raised $850 of its $5,000 goal, with contributions from 14 donors.
Domonic’s family expressed their deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. They have also set up PayPal and Venmo accounts for those who wish to contribute outside of the GoFundMe platform.
The community is encouraged to keep the Yang and Xiong families in their thoughts as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
