Brodhead, Kentucky – Edgar Lynn Albright, known affectionately as "Flash," passed away on August 25, 2024, at the age of 72 after a battle with stage 4 melanoma. His passing has left his family in a challenging financial situation as they face unexpected difficulties with his burial policy.
Despite having a policy intended to cover funeral costs, a significant issue has arisen, leaving Natalie and Brenda, close relatives of Lynn, responsible for covering the expenses out of their own pockets. They have 60 days to pay Marvin Owen’s Home For Funerals in Brodhead, Kentucky.
In response, a fundraiser has been organized by Stephanie Prewitt to help the family manage these expenses. As of now, $215 has been raised out of an $11,000 goal, with contributions from four donors. Robert Robinson contributed $100, while Summer Owens, Stephanie Prewitt, and Jessica Drew donated $20, $75, and $20, respectively.
Stephanie Prewitt expressed that asking for financial assistance would have been difficult for Lynn, who was known for his generosity and willingness to help others throughout his life. She hopes that the fundraiser will ease the burden on the family and honor Lynn’s memory.
The family and organizers appreciate any support during this time and encourage those who knew Lynn or who feel moved by his story to contribute. Every donation is valued as they work to ensure a proper farewell for a man who touched many lives.
For those interested in supporting, the fundraiser remains active, with donations being accepted to help reach the $11,000 goal.
