Elizabeth Adewale Missing from Southeast Washington D.C. – Community and Police Urge Public Assistance

Washington, D.C. – The Metropolitan Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s help in locating 26-year-old Elizabeth Oluwakemi Adewale, who was last seen on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, around 8:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Brandywine Street, Southeast.

Elizabeth Adewale, described as a Black female standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, has been missing for five days. The incident was reported to the authorities on August 24, 2024.

The Youth and Family Services Division of the Metropolitan Police Department is leading the investigation. However, the description of the clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance is unknown.

Community members have taken to social media to share their concerns and hopes for her safe return. A post by DC Missing Kids/Children on Facebook has been circulating, urging anyone with information to come forward.

The post reads, "Critical #MissingPerson 26-year-old Elizabeth Adewale, who was last seen in the 700 block of Brandywine Street, Southeast on August 21, 2024. The incident was reported on August 24, 2024. Have info? Call (202) 727-9099/Text 50411."

The Metropolitan Police Department encourages anyone with information on Elizabeth Adewale’s whereabouts to contact their Youth and Family Services Division at (202) 576-6768 or the Real Time Crime Center at (202) 727-9099. Anonymous tips can also be sent via text to 50411.

The family and police are appealing to the community for any assistance in bringing Elizabeth Adewale home safely.
