Fort Lauderdale Resident Francisco Ruben Alonso Passes Away, Family Seeks Help with Cremation Costs

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Francisco Ruben Alonso, a beloved resident of Fort Lauderdale, passed away on August 18, 2024. His passing has left his family and friends heartbroken, as they mourn the loss of a father who was deeply cherished. Francisco expressed his wish to be cremated and reunited with his wife, who passed away in 2015.

His daughter, Brenda Alonso, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the cremation costs, hoping to raise $1,400. As of today, $330 has been raised through seven donations, including contributions from Leiser Garcia, Robert Steburg, Cammie Sinor, Joanna Rose-Gross, and Carla Barahona.

Brenda took to Facebook to share her grief and the fundraising efforts, expressing, "Writing this doesn’t feel real and words cannot begin to describe how much my brother and I love and miss him."

Friends and community members have shared their condolences and support on social media. Miguel Borges commented, "I’m so so sorry for your loss love … sending hugs." Roberto Jesus Escajadillo added, "I’m so sorry for your loss Brenda." Niki Rodriguez expressed, "Me deepest condolences, may he rest in peace."

Other heartfelt messages came from Bertha Isabel, Laz Gamon, and Leiser Garcia, who all shared their sorrow and prayers for the family during this difficult time. AliceAlberto Estevez also remembered Francisco, stating, "May my cousin and brother-in-law RIP, he is now with the love of his life, my sister-in-law."

The outpouring of support continues as the family seeks to fulfill Francisco’s final wishes and honor his memory by reuniting him with his late wife.
