Frostburg, MD – The Landis family is mourning the loss of Jacob Landis, a cherished father, husband, son, brother, and friend, who recently passed away. Jacob, remembered for his dedication as a soldier, trainer, and teammate, leaves behind his wife Joni and their three sons, Paxton, Leo, and Owen.
As the family navigates this difficult time, they have organized a fundraiser in memory of Jacob to support his beloved family. The fundraiser, launched by Melanie Landis on August 25, 2024, has so far raised $2,320 of its $11,000 goal. Contributions have come from 19 donors, with Randy Walker making the top donation of $500, followed by a recent donation of $100 from C Doug Kenney.
The Landis family has expressed their deep gratitude for the generosity and compassion shown by the community. In a Facebook post, Krystal Lynn shared the family’s thanks, mentioning that visitors will be welcomed at Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg, MD, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
The family has been overwhelmed by the support received, with many contributing to the fundraiser and offering meals and care during the past week. As they prepare for Jacob’s funeral, the family continues to express their love and appreciation for all those who have supported them during this challenging time.
For those wishing to contribute, donations are still being accepted through the fundraiser organized by Melanie Landis to help the family as they cope with their loss.
