George Police Continue Search for Missing Robert Schroeder, Last Seen in Herold

George, South Africa – The George Police are intensifying their search efforts to locate Robert Schroeder, a 58-year-old man who has been missing since August 11, 2024. Schroeder was last seen attending a function in Herold, just outside George. Despite ongoing search operations in the area, authorities have yet to find any leads on his whereabouts.

Standing at 1.89 meters tall and weighing 90 kilograms, Robert Schroeder is known to have a full beard. His disappearance has prompted the South African Police Service (SAPS) to seek the public’s help. Sergeant Fumanekile Nofemela, the investigation officer, has urged anyone with information about Robert’s location to contact George Detectives at 044 803 4715, Crime Stop at 08600 10111, or use the MySAPS App.

The community has been actively sharing thoughts and concerns on social media. Zacky Macaire expressed, "May he be safe wherever he is, and eventually be reunited with his loved ones." However, the situation has also sparked some controversial remarks online. Lindi Giger Rudnicki commented, "People! Can you not respect Robert and his family!!!! Some of these comments are absolutely disgusting!! Please if you have nothing nice to say keep quiet!" Meanwhile, Tikur Anbessa speculated, "He is gone back to Denmark," and Gail Sanders Hendriksz mentioned, "I’m just here to laugh at the troll comments of racists."

As the search for Robert Schroeder continues, the police and the community are hopeful for any information that could lead to his safe return.
