Amos, Quebec – The Quebec coroner’s office has confirmed the tragic deaths of three family members in a helicopter crash late Sunday in the northwest region of the province. The victims have been identified as 80-year-old Gérard Legault, 77-year-old Aurore Lanoix, and their 22-year-old grandson, Jake Russell Barfield.
The crash occurred in the La Vérendrye wildlife reserve, with the wreckage discovered on Monday at D’Elvert Lake. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
