Kankakee, Illinois – Gregory ‘Greg’ Renshaw, a respected registered nurse from Kankakee, Illinois, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication in the healthcare field. Greg, known for his commitment to nursing and his profound impact on patients, died unexpectedly, as announced through social media on August 23, 2024.

Greg Renshaw was a retired nurse who spent years providing care and support to those in need. He was a graduate of Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School and furthered his education at Kankakee Community College, where he earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Registered Nursing. His career included significant roles at AMITA Health and Little Company of Mary Hospital, where he was known for his skilled and compassionate care.

The news of Greg’s passing has shocked and saddened many, as he was well-loved in his community. His wife, Sonyia Renshaw, who is also a healthcare professional, survives him along with their children and other family members. The cause of Greg’s death has not been disclosed at this time.

Several friends and community members have expressed their grief and shared their memories of Greg on Facebook. Dawn Akerman wrote, "My heart hurts today. There are very few memories that I have growing up that you are not a part of! You were so full of life and you will be missed by all of us! RIP my friend."
