Hummelstown Resident Quinton J. Heckard Tragically Killed After Being Struck by Tractor-Trailer on I-81 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania

Cumberland County, Pennsylvania – Quinton J. Heckard, a 26-year-old resident of Hummelstown, was tragically killed on Sunday morning, August 25, 2024, after being struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes near mile marker 61.7 at approximately 8:15 a.m.

According to the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office, Heckard stepped out from the shoulder of the highway into the path of the oncoming truck. Despite immediate response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
