Idaho Falls, Idaho – The rodeo community in Idaho Falls is reeling after the tragic passing of Lucy James, a beloved cowgirl and standout member of the High Desert Junior Rodeo Association. Lucy, known for her infectious enthusiasm and impressive rodeo skills, died on Thursday, August 22, 2024, following a car accident that has left those who knew her devastated.

The heartbreaking news of Lucy’s death was confirmed in a poignant Facebook post, which stated, “It is with heavy hearts we share this news. Today we learned that God gained an outstanding angel. Lucy James passed away this morning from injuries sustained in a car crash this week.”
