Indianapolis Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing 68-Year-Old Cynthia Evans

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in locating Cynthia Evans, a 68-year-old woman who has been reported missing. Cynthia was last seen on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at approximately 9:00 AM in the area of 1400 Udell Street.

Cynthia Evans is described as being 5’2” tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black and gray hair, and brown eyes. On the day she went missing, she was wearing a purple shirt, blue pants, and black shoes. It is important to note that she was not wearing her glasses at the time.

The IMPD has asked anyone who may have seen Cynthia or has information regarding her whereabouts to immediately call 911. Citizens can also contact the IMPD Missing Persons Unit at 317.327.6160, or anonymously provide tips through Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana by calling 317.262.8477 (TIPS). There is a potential cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to a felony arrest.

Community members have taken to social media to express their concern and support. One individual shared, "I hope Cynthia is found safe and sound. Please keep an eye out for her." Another person posted, "Praying for her safe return. Let’s all stay vigilant and help find her."

As the search continues, the IMPD is encouraging the public to remain alert and report any sightings or information that could assist in locating Cynthia Evans. The department emphasizes that tips submitted directly and anonymously to Crime Stoppers are eligible for the cash rewards.
