Jeffrey Lake of Danville, KY, Passes Away at 62 – Family and Community Mourn His Loss

Danville, Kentucky – Jeffrey Lake, a 62-year-old resident of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, in Danville, Kentucky. Jeffrey was born on July 7, 1962, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Margaret Hammond Baumann and the late Ronald Lake. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends.

Jeffrey Lake was known for his love of mechanics, flea marketing, thrifting, and playing the lottery, reflecting his eclectic tastes and passions. He was a graduate of Gladwin High School and furthered his education at Mid Michigan College.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Margaret Hammond Baumann; his son, Justin Lake, and daughter-in-law, Latrichia Lake; as well as his four grandchildren: Elijah Feese, Leilah Aud, Liana Lake, and Lillynn Lake. He also leaves behind his siblings: Leland, Kevin, and Todd Lake, Theresa Morris, and Shannon Pavlicek, along with their spouses. Jeffrey is fondly remembered by his special friend, Brad Feese, and his in-laws, Ken, Marilyn, and Julie Ellis.

The family has decided not to hold any services at this time, respecting Jeffrey’s wishes. Arrangements are being managed by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, and those who wish to leave condolences can do so via the online guestbook on the funeral home’s website.

The community has expressed an outpouring of support on social media. Gina Lake shared, "Calling all prayer warriors, please be praying for my niece Shanon Keeler, her husband Jeffrey & the Lake family as they grieve the loss of their son Philip Lake." Jeffrey Lake will be remembered for his distinct passions, his love for his family, and the impact he had on those around him.
