Jerame Dean Teel of Pocatello Identified in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Near Regional Airport

Pocatello, Idaho – Jerame Dean Teel, a 48-year-old resident of Pocatello, has been identified as the victim in a tragic single-vehicle accident that occurred near the Pocatello Regional Airport on August 24, 2024. The crash took place at approximately 5:28 p.m. on Government Road, around 1800 feet from the airport.

According to authorities, Teel was driving a yellow 2016 Yamaha Razor northbound when the vehicle suddenly veered off the road. The Razor rolled over, causing fatal injuries to Teel, who was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. A 51-year-old passenger, also from Pocatello, sustained serious injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The current condition of the passenger has not been disclosed.

Both men were not wearing helmets or seatbelts at the time of the crash, which has raised significant concerns about the importance of protective gear in preventing severe injuries or fatalities. The Idaho State Police are leading the investigation into the crash, exploring possible causes such as driver error, mechanical failure, or other external factors.
