Jamestown, New York – John W. Hodgkin, a 77-year-old resident of Jamestown, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday afternoon. The New York State Police reported that the incident occurred at approximately 1:10 p.m. in the town of Poland, Chautauqua County.

Hodgkin was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson and traveling westbound on State Route 394 when his motorcycle veered off the north shoulder of the road. The vehicle then struck a ditch, causing Hodgkin to be thrown from his motorcycle. Emergency responders were quick to arrive at the scene, but unfortunately, Hodgkin was pronounced dead due to the severity of the impact.
