Juan Guerrero Moreno, Silver Spring Resident, Dies in Tragic Lawn Mower Accident in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Gaithersburg, Maryland – Juan Guerrero Moreno, a 28-year-old resident of Silver Spring, tragically lost his life in a fatal collision on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. The incident occurred on Great Seneca Highway when a Genesis G70 collided with Guerrero Moreno, who was operating a ride-on lawn mower.

The accident, which happened just before 1:15 p.m., left Guerrero Moreno unresponsive on the roadway. Emergency personnel arrived promptly, provided immediate treatment, and transported him to a local hospital. Despite their efforts, Guerrero Moreno was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The Montgomery County Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the crash and urges any witnesses to come forward with information by contacting (240) 773-6620.

The tragic event has elicited an outpouring of support and prayers from the community. Tracy Robinson posted on Facebook, “Praying for the family,” while Brenda Sirbaugh added, “Prayers for the family.” Jeff Richards, reflecting on the accident, commented, “People need to slow down.” Many others, including Kimberly Wilfong, Mildred Branch, and Debbie Snow, also expressed their condolences, sharing sentiments like, “Prayers for his family and friends.”

As the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of Juan Guerrero Moreno, a young man whose life was tragically cut short.
