Glasford, Illinois – Kari J. Session, a beloved resident of Glasford, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the age of 46. Born on October 26, 1977, in Pekin, IL, Kari was the daughter of Robert Harvey and An Onna (Grigsby) Standard.
Kari was a dedicated mother and grandmother, survived by her four children, Taylor Session, Isaiah Session, Matt Cooley, and John Cooley, as well as her grandchild, Jayce Cooley. Her passing has left a profound impact on her family and the community.
Kari was well-known in the community for her dedication to her job as a mail carrier, a role she performed with great care and commitment. Her work and presence will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
The family has arranged visitation hours on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. A graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Kari’s daughter, Taylor Session, expressed the family’s grief, saying, "As some of you may already know, my mom had passed away last night. Isaiah and I are trying to wrap our heads around everything. We appreciate everyone who has helped us and reached out to us thus far. You can never prepare yourself for the loss of a parent."
The outpouring of support from the community has been overwhelming. Adam McDaniel commented, "Sorry for ur loss," while Ashley Carnes added, "Taylor, I’m so sorry… sending all my thoughts and prayers."
