Kathy Bakker Passes Away Peacefully in Utah; Family Launches GoFundMe to Cover Medical and Funeral Expenses

Kathy Bakker, Utah – Kathy Bakker passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by her loving family. Her death came after a battle with stage 4 kidney cancer, and she was deeply cherished by all who knew her.

In her final days, Kathy was surrounded by family and friends who came to bid her farewell. Her daughter, Amanda, traveled from Hawaii with her husband and four children to be by her side. The hospice room was prepared with extra chairs, snacks, and drinks to accommodate the many visitors. Kathy’s family draped her with beautiful lei, sang songs, and shared cherished stories around her bed, creating lasting memories of love and togetherness.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by Kathy’s family to cover medical and funeral expenses. The campaign reflects the family’s gratitude for the outpouring of support they have received. Donations are being welcomed as a way to honor Kathy’s memory and support her family during this difficult time.

Eliza Claire Elkington shared on Facebook, "My beautiful mamma passed away peacefully this morning. So many people came to bid her farewell. It was one of the most beautiful memories—we will always cherish it. I can’t thank each of you enough for your support and love."

Other friends and family members also expressed their condolences. Brian Whitney wrote, "I’m so sorry, Eliza. I’m glad she was able to go peacefully and surrounded by loving family, but I’m sure it is still very hard." Kathleen Lee Hunter added, "Condolences, hugs, kisses, and prayers for all of you during this most difficult time. I love the Bakkers."
