Kenneth Owen, 38, Killed in Tragic Fresno County Go-Kart Crash

Fresno County, California – Kenneth Owen, a 38-year-old resident of Kingsburg, tragically lost his life early Friday morning in a fatal Go-Kart crash in Fresno County.

The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and Peach Avenue. Owen was driving a Go-Kart on the street when it was struck from behind by a Toyota Tacoma. The Go-Kart, which was not equipped with lights or reflectors, had a low profile that made it difficult for the driver of the truck to see, leading to the collision.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the Toyota Tacoma stopped briefly after the collision but then fled the scene without providing assistance. Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived quickly and attempted to administer life-saving measures, but Owen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are currently searching for the driver of the Toyota Tacoma, described as a white 2012-2015 model with front-end damage. Investigators have not yet determined if alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information about the crash to contact the Fresno Area CHP at (559) 262-0400. Individuals wishing to remain anonymous can reach out to Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.

Kenneth Owen’s tragic death has left the community in mourning, and the search for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run continues.
