Lafayette County Mourns the Loss of Thomas “Tinker” Eachers, Retired Police Officer

Lafayette County, Missouri – The community of Lafayette County is grieving the unexpected loss of Thomas “Tinker” Eachers, a beloved retired police officer. Eachers passed away recently, leaving behind a family and a community deeply touched by his life and service.

Thomas Eachers, affectionately known as "Tinker," served the Lafayette County community for thirteen years as a dedicated police officer before retiring in 2017. His commitment to public service and his unwavering love for his family made him a cherished figure in the area.

His daughter, Lyndi Thompson, expressed the profound impact of her father’s passing, stating, "This is a very hard post for me to make, but it seems it has already spread around our little community of Lafayette County. My father Tink Eachers has unfortunately passed away. These aren’t things you prepare for."

The suddenness of Tinker Eachers’ death has left his family not only in deep mourning but also facing significant financial burdens. To help cover the funeral costs and related expenses, the family has set up a GoFundMe campaign, appealing to the community for support.

Many in the community have already reached out, offering condolences and support. Comments on Facebook from friends and community members reflect the depth of feeling for Tinker and his family.

The Eachers family is grateful for the love and support shown by the community during this difficult time. They plan to meet with a funeral home soon to arrange services and will keep the public updated.
