Lansing Residents Mourn the Tragic Deaths of Neshawn Jackson and Katherine Gilbert in Fatal Crash Near East Saginaw Street

Lansing, Michigan – The community is grieving the loss of two individuals, Neshawn Jackson, 26, and Katherine Gilbert, 31, who tragically lost their lives in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning. The fatal crash occurred around 12:50 a.m. near Marshall Street and Lansing Catholic High School.

According to authorities, the vehicle crash resulted in Jackson being found outside the vehicle, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. Gilbert was extricated by the Lansing Fire Department and transported to a local hospital, where she was later declared deceased.

Lansing police have indicated that speed may have played a role in the crash. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and officials urge anyone with information to contact the Lansing police department at 517-483-4600.

The news has left the community in mourning, with several individuals taking to social media to express their condolences.
