Lockport Resident Robert "Bobby" Miles Passes Away at Age 60 After Battling Crohn’s Disease

Lockport, IL – Robert "Bobby" Miles, a beloved resident of Lockport, passed away on August 28, 2024, at the age of 60. Bobby had been bravely battling complications from Crohn’s disease, and his passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends.

Bobby is remembered for his kind heart and the immense joy he brought to those around him. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty; his son, Robert Miles; his daughter, Elizabeth Martinez, and her husband, Jaime; and his grandchildren, Adela, Jaime Junior, Diego, and Morgan. Bobby also leaves behind his siblings, Jim Miles (wife Canterese), Terry Miles (wife Tina), and Donna Miles Bentley (husband Tom), as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Donna Miles Bentley shared the sorrow of Bobby’s passing, stating, "It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Robert (Bobby) Miles, who was taken from us on August 28, 2024, at the age of 60. As some of you may know, Bobby has been battling complications from Crohn’s disease. God has decided he has suffered enough, and it was time for him to come home to heaven and be with his Mother Rita, his Father Robert, and brother David."

Friends and family have taken to social media to express their condolences. Alexis Harris commented, "So sorry for your loss." Pauly Spuck shared, "So sorry to hear this, my condolences." Renee Romano added, "I am so sorry for your loss." Others, like Anna Randall, offered prayers: "I’m sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family during this time of grief. May he rest in peace."

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Donna Bentley to help support Bobby’s celebration of life, with a goal of $5,000. The fundraiser aims to honor Bobby’s memory and assist his family during this difficult time.

The date for the memorial service is yet to be determined but is hoped to take place within the next two weeks. Bobby’s family and friends are deeply appreciative of the support they have received and are determined to celebrate his life in a manner befitting the love and joy he brought into their lives.
