Londonderry, New Hampshire – The community is mourning the loss of 17-year-old Lillianna Cawthron, who tragically died following a car accident on Interstate 93. The accident occurred on Friday, August 23, 2024, when Cawthron’s vehicle, a gray 2008 Mercury Milan, veered off the road near mile marker 14 and struck several trees.
Emergency responders, including the New Hampshire State Police and the Londonderry Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene around 2:47 p.m. They worked diligently to extricate Cawthron from the wreckage, but the severe impact left her with life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to Elliott Hospital in Manchester, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.
The incident prompted a temporary closure of the interstate, causing significant traffic delays as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash. The New Hampshire State Police, along with other local agencies, are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what led to this tragic accident.
As the Londonderry community grapples with this heartbreaking loss, many have taken to social media to express their grief and share memories of Lillianna.
