Lucas Lee Wheeldon of Eubank, Kentucky, Passes Away at Age 20, Leaving Community in Mourning

Eubank, Kentucky – Lucas Lee Wheeldon, a 20-year-old resident of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Born on August 23, 2004, in Somerset, Kentucky, Lucas was the son of Martin and Jill (Livesay) Wheeldon. His untimely death has left his family, friends, and community in deep sorrow.

Lucas was a dedicated member of the Eubank Baptist Church, where he was baptized at the age of nine. His passion for music led him to become the lead guitarist for the church’s praise team, where his talent brought joy and inspiration to many.

An accomplished electrician, Lucas had obtained his Electrician Certification from Somerset Community College and was working for Arcstream. His future was bright, filled with promise and potential in his chosen career path.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Martin and Jill Wheeldon, and his two younger brothers, Dekker and Hagan Wheeldon. He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Hallie Young, and his grandparents, Jimmy and Sharon Wheeldon, and John and Jayne Livesay, all of whom provided love and support throughout his life.

A funeral service to celebrate Lucas’s life will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Eubank Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Aron Neal. Family and friends will be received starting at 4 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the same location.

The loss of Lucas has touched many, and numerous individuals have expressed their condolences and shared memories on social media.

Lana Denney Blanton posted, "So sorry for the loss of Lucas… Prayers for all his family." Kay Griffin Denham echoed this sentiment, writing, "So, so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers for all the family!"

Others, such as Angela Leigh, shared, "Many prayers being said for his family & friends!" and Rick Ping added, "Prayers for the family!!! So sorry for your loss!!!"

The outpouring of love and support from the community highlights the impact Lucas had on those around him. He will be remembered for his faith, his love for music, and the deep bonds he shared with his family and friends.
