Malcolm Freeman Passes Away Peacefully After Tragic Fall at Home in Exeter

Exeter, United Kingdom – Malcolm Freeman, a beloved husband and respected community member, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Royal Devon University Hospital in Exeter. Born on May 27, 1954, Malcolm was 70 years old.

The tragic series of events began on Tuesday night when Malcolm suffered a serious fall at home, leading to his heart and breathing stopping. Emergency services responded swiftly, with ambulance crews arriving within minutes. They were able to resuscitate him and transported him to the intensive care unit at the Royal Devon University Hospital. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Malcolm never regained consciousness.

His wife, Sarah Freeman, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, expressing her gratitude to the ambulance crews and the intensive care unit staff for their exceptional care and compassion. She noted that their support was a great comfort to her and the family during this difficult time.

In her post, Sarah Freeman wrote, "It’s with great sadness I have to share that my much-loved husband Malcolm Freeman died, peacefully, and surrounded by family, in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Royal Devon University Hospital in Exeter. He had a serious fall at home on Tuesday night where his heart and breathing stopped. The ambulance crews arrived within minutes and resuscitated him before taking him to the intensive care unit in Exeter, but he never regained consciousness."

The news of Malcolm’s passing has led to an outpouring of support from friends and loved ones on social media. Matt Bacon offered his condolences, saying, "Our sincere condolences to you, Sarah." Elizabeth Thayre added, "We are so sorry for your loss… Malcolm was the nicest gentleman… if you need us, we are at the end of a phone."

Others, such as Kelly Houchard and Lynnette Webster, also shared their sorrow and offered their support to Sarah during this difficult time. John Gullidge expressed, "So, so sorry for your loss, Sarah. Sending you much love at this awful time."
