Miami-Dade, FL – In a devastating incident in Northwest Miami-Dade, 40-year-old Marcos Antonio Gonzalez has been identified by police as the man who fatally shot 39-year-old Raiza Cajuso, the mother of their three children, before taking his own life. The tragic event took place on Saturday morning in the family’s home while their three children, aged 15, 13, and 9, were present.
The shooting occurred at approximately 8:34 a.m. on the 12000 block of West Randall Park Drive in the Westview neighborhood. According to law enforcement, Gonzalez, who had recently separated from Cajuso and no longer lived with her, arrived at the home and confronted her. Following a heated argument, Gonzalez shot Cajuso and then turned the gun on himself.
The horrific incident was first reported by the couple’s eldest child, a 15-year-old, who made a distressing 911 call to alert authorities.
