Egg Harbor City, NJ – Martha Ortiz, a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter, teacher, and friend, is currently fighting for her life after a sudden and severe decline in her health. A GoFundMe fundraiser, organized by Anthony Rosario, has been launched to support her family during this challenging time.
Martha, who has battled kidney disease leading to kidney failure, has recently undergone open heart surgery and receives multiple rounds of dialysis each week. Unfortunately, on Friday, August 23, Martha suffered a sudden decline in heart health, resulting in cardiac arrest. Her heart has stopped 19 times, leaving her in critical condition. She is currently in a coma to allow her body to rest while doctors conduct further testing, including brain scans, to assess any potential damage.
The entire Ortiz family is by her side, praying for her recovery and hoping that the road to healing will begin soon. The family is asking for the community’s support to help them remain close to Martha during this critical time.
The GoFundMe campaign has already raised $10,020, surpassing its initial goal of $10,000, thanks to the generosity of 83 donors. The top donation of $3,550 was made anonymously, and Lori Stephens was the first to contribute with a donation of $50.
Anthony Rosario, who is organizing the fundraiser, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and asked everyone to keep Martha in their prayers. Those wishing to contribute to Martha’s medical expenses and support her family can donate through the GoFundMe page.
