Miami Resident Maria D. Echemendia Passes Away; Fundraiser Launched to Support Funeral and Burial Expenses

Miami, Florida – The community is mourning the loss of Maria D. Echemendia, affectionately known as "Makuky," who passed away on August 28, 2024. Maria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her kindness, love, and unwavering support to those around her.

In response to her passing, a fundraiser has been organized by her son-in-law, Steven Salgado, to help cover the costs associated with her funeral and burial. The fundraiser, titled "Ayuda a Rafael Echemendia tras el Fallecimiento de María," aims to alleviate the financial burden on Maria’s husband, Rafael Echemendia, during this difficult time.

As of Thursday, August 29, 2024, the fundraiser has raised $400 from four donations, with contributions coming from Maria E. Enriquez, Rogelio Acosta, Yulema Varela, and Inna Grishkovich. The community’s support is crucial in ensuring that Maria receives a respectful farewell and that her family is comforted during their time of need.
