Lucas County, Ohio – A tragic accident early on the morning of August 28, 2024, claimed the life of 42-year-old Michael Dennis, a resident of Monclova. The fatal crash occurred in Harding Township, located in western Lucas County.
Authorities discovered the crash around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, but the exact time of the incident is still under investigation. According to reports, the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and found a small pickup truck in a soybean field near the intersection of Old State Line Road and Wilkins Road.
The vehicle, driven by Michael Dennis, was traveling westbound on Old State Line Road when it veered off the roadway, struck a utility pole, and eventually came to a stop in the field. Sadly, Dennis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that alcohol may have played a role in the crash. Additionally, it was noted that Dennis was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The incident remains under investigation, and no other injuries have been reported.
