Norwich Community Mourns the Loss of Anjelly Berrios, 33, and Unborn Daughter After Tragic Car Accident on 395 North

Anjelly Berrios, a beloved member of the Norwich, Connecticut community, tragically lost her life in a car accident on 395 North last night. The 33-year-old mother of two boys, Xavier (14) and Amani (12), was seven months pregnant and eagerly anticipating the arrival of her baby girl. The accident has left her family and friends devastated, as they now face the heartbreaking task of saying goodbye to both Anjelly and her unborn daughter.

A GoFundMe campaign, organized by Elenia Rios, has been established to help cover funeral expenses and provide support for Anjelly’s two sons. As of today, the fundraiser has raised $150 out of its $12,000 goal, with donations coming from individuals like Michelle Gilot, who contributed $100, and another anonymous donor who gave $50.

The outpouring of grief and support has been significant, with many in the community expressing their sorrow on social media. Dawn Nye Plaza shared her thoughts on Facebook, stating, "I didn’t know her but this breaks my heart."

The fundraiser emphasizes the deep loss felt by Anjelly’s loved ones, describing her as a kind, genuine, and loving individual who was deeply committed to her family. The funds raised will go towards funeral costs, with any remaining amount dedicated to supporting her sons during this incredibly difficult time.
