Oklahoma City Authorities Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing 15-Year-Old Valery Teresa Burns

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma City Police Department is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Valery Teresa Burns, who has been reported missing. Valery was last seen near 2800 North Ann Arbor Avenue, according to an alert issued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Valery, an Indigenous teenager, was last seen wearing a black shirt with pink on the front, black and blue checkered pajama pants, and possibly brown slippers with tribal designs. Authorities have also noted that Valery is considered at-risk, as she suffers from depression and is believed to be suicidal.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has activated an Endangered Missing Advisory in hopes of locating Valery as quickly as possible. Anyone who may have seen Valery or has information regarding her whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.

Support and concern for Valery’s safety have spread across social media, particularly on Facebook. Lacie Lowry shared a post emphasizing the urgency of locating the missing girl, stating, "MISSING GIRL: Oklahoma City." Yvonne Thomas-Miller also expressed her concern by posting, "Creator, may you help locate this young woman and guide him protect her back to her worried family. Creator, here are prayers."

Other community members have joined in sharing the news, including Wayne Lee, who posted, "Sharing from Hawaii," and Belinda Godin, who also contributed to the growing online awareness.

Authorities and Valery’s family are pleading with the community to remain vigilant and report any information that could help bring Valery home safely.
