Pecos Resident Jeremiah Apodaca Passes Away Due to Kidney Failure at 33, Family Seeks Support for Funeral Expenses

Pecos, New Mexico – Jeremiah Apodaca, a beloved resident of Pecos, passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 33 due to kidney failure. His sudden departure has left his family, friends, and community in mourning. Jeremiah is survived by his young daughter, whom he cherished deeply.

In the wake of his passing, Jeremiah’s sister, Andrea Apodaca, has organized a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for his funeral expenses. The family has set a goal of $1,200 to ensure they can provide a proper memorial service to honor Jeremiah’s memory and say their final goodbyes. As of now, the campaign has raised $520, with contributions from family members and anonymous donors.

Andrea Apodaca expressed the family’s deep appreciation for the support they have received so far, stating, "We ask for the help of all of you who can donate to help us with his funeral expenses during these very difficult times. We want to give Jeremiah the memorial he deserves to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes."

The news of Jeremiah’s passing has touched many in the community, with several individuals sharing their memories and condolences on social media. Nicholas Nick Montoya reflected on their youthful adventures, recalling, "Dang, a couple memories. A group of Valley area girls snuck me, Jason, and Jeremiah into the RV where they were sleeping. We almost got caught and ran like heck to his dad’s place… RIP Jeremiah and Jason!!"

Others, like Heather Espi, expressed their sorrow, saying, "Rip Jeremiah, man this hurts," while Johnny Romero added, "When was this brotha omg RIP Orejon."

Jeremiah’s classmates and friends have also shared their grief, with Antionette Jaramillo posting, "May he RIP, classmate of mine from the Valley," and Christine Gosdin simply stating, "RIP."
