Phillip M. Lujan of Spring, Texas, Passes Away at Age 35

Spring, Texas – Phillip M. Lujan, a beloved resident of Spring, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the age of 35. He will be remembered for his compassionate nature and love for family and friends.

Born on July 26, 1989, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, Phillip grew up in the Loving area and graduated from Loving High School in 2007. In 2016, he moved to Houston, where he pursued various career opportunities. Recently, he earned a degree from Texas Barber College in 2023 and was excited about his new career path.

Phillip is survived by his parents, Mike and Linda Lujan, his brothers David and Joshua, and his sister Valerie, along with many other family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Erminia Granger, and Adon and Carmen Lujan.

Visitation for Phillip will take place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 30, 2024, at San Jose Catholic Church in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He will be laid to rest in Loving Cemetery, Loving, NM.

Friends and family have taken to social media to express their condolences. Lenora Hernandez wrote, "Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family." Nicole Ann Mendoza shared, "I’m so saddened to hear this. My most sincere condolences to Linda, Mike, David Lujan, Valerie, and Joshua. May you all be wrapped in comfort and strength." Esteban Madrid offered his support, saying, "Our condolences to the Lujan family. Our prayers are with you and may the Lord continue to give you strength."

Phillip M. Lujan will be remembered for his kindness, love of cooking, and appreciation of New Mexico’s beautiful sunsets. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
