Reflecting on 15 Years Since the Disappearance of Jodi Henrickson – Bowen Island Community and True Crime Enthusiasts Continue the Search for Answers

Bowen Island, British Columbia – As the 15th anniversary of Jodi Henrickson’s mysterious disappearance approaches, the case remains a haunting enigma for her family, friends, and the broader community. On a summer night in June 2009, 17-year-old Jodi left for a party on Bowen Island and was never seen again. Despite extensive investigations, her disappearance remains unsolved, leaving a lasting void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

To mark this somber milestone, True North True Crime has released the first part of a two-part podcast series dedicated to Jodi’s case. This series is not only a reflection on the past but a renewed effort to bring her story back into the spotlight. The podcast features documentary producer Jenni Baynham, who is currently working on a docuseries that aims to uncover new leads and bring much-needed justice and closure to Jodi’s family.

The podcast also includes insights from retired RCMP officer Peter Cross, whose final assignment before retirement was Jodi’s case. As one of the founding members of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), Cross offers a unique perspective on the challenges investigators faced and the possibilities that still exist for uncovering the truth.

On Facebook, the community continues to rally around Jodi’s memory, sharing their thoughts and hopes for closure. Melanie Draper posted, "My hope is that the loved ones of Jodi could at the very least get some answers. I can’t imagine having to wonder what happened to a loved one." Her sentiment echoes the collective yearning for resolution that has persisted over the years.

As part of the ongoing conversation, Tanis Magnusson expressed anticipation for the second part of the podcast, commenting, "Thanks, was looking for part 2," to which True North True Crime responded, "It’ll be up tomorrow!"

The continued interest and efforts by both the community and media highlight the enduring impact of Jodi’s disappearance. While 15 years have passed, the quest for answers remains as vital as ever, with the hope that one day, justice will be served, and Jodi’s story will find its long-awaited conclusion.
