Riverside Mourns the Loss of Jorge Torres – Fundraiser Launched to Celebrate His Life

Riverside, CA – Jorge Torres, a beloved member of the Riverside community, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Known for his infectious humor and warm heart, Jorge was cherished by his family and friends, who are now coming together to remember his life.

Jorge Torres was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather, affectionately known as “Papa” by his granddaughters. His ability to bring joy into any room with his contagious laugh and kind demeanor made him a source of strength and happiness for all who knew him.

To honor Jorge’s memory, a fundraiser has been organized by Reanne Roa, aiming to raise $10,000 for a memorial. As of today, $1,805 has been raised from 22 donations. Contributions of all sizes are welcomed, as they will help support the memorial and keep Jorge’s spirit alive among those he loved.

Several friends and family members have shared their condolences and memories on Facebook, expressing the profound impact Jorge had on their lives.

Fernando Gomez wrote, “It’s really hard to say… He has been a big part of my life. He was my best friend, my best man at my wedding, and a brother. I will miss you, Jorge Torres. Love you.”

Summer Covert posted, “Love you brother. He was a great man. We’re here if you need anything.”

Others, including Kathleen Hernandez, Dolores Kane, and Julie Bangma Thiel, also expressed their sorrow, with Thiel saying, “So sorry to hear this Fernando. Jorge always made me laugh. He was a great guy.”

As the Riverside community mourns the loss of Jorge Torres, they are united in their effort to celebrate the life of a man who brought so much joy to others. Donations to the memorial fund are being accepted, with every contribution helping to honor the legacy of Jorge Torres.
