Sampson Bleh, 35, Identified as Victim in Fatal South Fargo Shooting

Fargo, North Dakota – Sampson Bleh, a 35-year-old resident of Fargo, has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday afternoon. The incident took place at approximately 1:15 p.m. at 2202 12th Avenue South, prompting an emergency call to the Red River Dispatch Center.

According to the Fargo Police, Bleh was shot in the chest and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The suspect fled the scene before police could apprehend them. However, officers later detained an individual at The Arbors, a location nearby. Fargo Police Captain Bill Ahlfeldt noted that a Moorhead Police K-9 unit assisted in the operation, and authorities conducted a search of an adjacent apartment building, focusing on a second-story unit. Most officers left the scene around 3 p.m., and the investigation is ongoing.

Captain Ahlfeldt assured the community that there is no ongoing threat, as the shooter and victim were known to each other. He also mentioned that investigators are actively interviewing potential witnesses to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

The local community has expressed their condolences and concerns on social media. Doug Kalk questioned the need for more information despite having the suspect in custody. Sandra Ferris offered prayers for the family, while John Carmona simply commented, "RIP." Andrea Lynn Eberhardt lamented, "Fargo is turning into a dumpster fire. My prayers go out for our law enforcement who have to try to keep up with the crime."
