Seven Years Since Gillian Affleck’s Disappearance from Patcham, Sussex – Family and Community Continue Search on Her Birthday

Patcham, Sussex – Today marks the seventh anniversary of the disappearance of Gillian Affleck, who went missing on August 24, 2017, at the age of 50. The ongoing search for Gillian, who was last seen in Patcham, Sussex, has intensified, especially on what would have been her birthday.

Gillian, originally from Ayrshire and residing in Brighton since 2002, was last seen wearing a grey stone-effect Peter Storm waterproof jacket, a thin blue or grey three-quarter length sleeve top, brown ankle boots, and a knitted grey scarf. She was believed to be carrying a large grey Karrimor rucksack. Despite the extensive efforts of her family, friends, and local authorities, there has been no trace of her since she left a note indicating she was going for a walk.

On social media, many have expressed their thoughts and prayers for Gillian and her family. Caroline Lyons posted, “It is Gillian’s birthday today, please keep her family and friends in your thoughts.” The post, shared by the Missing Persons Support group, urges anyone with information to contact Sussex Police or Greater Glasgow Police Division, depending on their location.
